ED 223 Administering Programs for Children ONLINE – Fisher College

This is an online course designed for students who have had experience in children’s programs and who seek to become Director qualified. The course will focus on the management functions within children’s programs. Included will be financial planning, record keeping, health, safety, and licensing requirements, organizational procedures and policies, and quality programming issues. Community resources as they relate to children and families will be explored. National and State standards and regulations will be examined. 3 College Credit Hours.

This course meets EEC certificate requirements in category of study 13.

This is a fully online course which is completed in Blackboard. Prior to May 7th you will receive a username/password for Blackboard, and once the course begins, you will have access to the syllabus, announcements, assignments, tests/quizzes, etc. There will be a weekly module/folder for each week of the course which indicates what is due that week. There are no specific times you have to log in to do the work, except for 4 scheduled, live, 1-hour Collaborate sessions. If you are unable to attend the live session, you can watch the recording and write a summary for full credit.
