Course Description:This course presents a curriculum framework for children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. Children’s experimentations and interactions with their environment will be explored in such areas as art, music, language and literature, physical science, and block play. The role of the adult in providing appropriate leadership and materials will be studied. Workshops, projects, and observations provide first-hand experience.
This is a fully online course which is completed in Blackboard. Prior to May 13th you will receive a username/password for Blackboard, and once the course begins, you will have access to the syllabus, announcements, assignments, tests/quizzes, etc. There will be a weekly module/folder for each week of the course which indicates what is due that week. There are no specific times you have to log in to do the work, except for 4 scheduled, live, 1-hour Collaborate sessions. If you are unable to attend the live session, you can watch the recording and write a summary for full credit.
