In this course we will address the importance of nature and the skills you will need to implement a nature curriculum.  Educators will focus on how to document children’s observations and use them to expand learning.  Activities will include how to prepare an indoor environment for nature as well as how to use your outdoor space.   The training is very hands-on and will incorporate the Science, Technology and Engineering Preschool Standards as well as science concepts and methods of engaging children in nature. Focus: Ages Three to Six. Participants will receive .5 CEU credit hours.  (5  training hours/.5 CEU)

Participants select one training for the entire day. Educators, administrators, and ECE program staff are welcome to participate in this professional development day. The cost of $25.00 per person includes a box lunch and CEU and materials. Special prize drawings and opportunities to network with peers! Preference in enrollment will be given to educators who live or work in EEC Region 6. A Professional Qualifications Registry (PQR) number is required for registration.
