Working With Children With Special Diets, Allergies, and Specialized Feeding Issues (in English) .5 CEU
Food allergies affect 1 in 13 children in the United States; with young children being affected the most6. Food allergies, food sensitivities and other feeding issues are an increasing concern for early education and care programs. Participants will be introduced to the health and safety needs of children with special dietary needs and ways to support these children and collaborate with families and health professionals. Participants will begin to develop their own individual health care plan for children with special diets, allergies, and specialized feeding issues in their program. Participants will receive .5 CEU credit hours.
Participants select one training topic for the entire day. Educators, administrators, and ECE program staff are welcome to participate in this professional development day. The cost of $15.00 per person, includes a box lunch and CEU or certificate fees and materials. Special prize drawings and opportunities to network with peers! Preference in enrollment will be given to educators who live or work in EEC Region 6. A Professional Qualifications Registry (PQR) number is required for registration.
