Stop, Look, and Listen: Identifying Red Flags for Developmental Challenges & Approaching, Communication with and Supporting Parents (in English) – Spring Professional Development Day 2017
Identifying Red Flags for Developmental Challenges and examining the steps to take when preparing to approach parents with concerns about a child. Learn the skills needed to successfully convey your message, and how to deal with parental responses. We will also explore influences that affect parental reactions, and how to meet the parents “where they are”.
Participants select one training topic for the entire day. Educators, administrators, and ECE program staff are welcome to participate in this professional development day. The cost of $15.00 per person, includes a box lunch and CEU or certificate fees and materials. Special prize drawings and opportunities to network with peers! Preference in enrollment will be given to educators who live or work in EEC Region 6. A Professional Qualifications Registry (PQR) number is required for registration.
