About Our Programs

The collaborative works with educators, directors and administrators working in center-based programs, Head Start programs, out-of school time (OST) programs and public school programs as well as family child care providers. Priority is given to educators and programs serving children who receive EEC subsidies (vouchers or contracts).

Funded through the Department of Early Education and Care, the overall goal is two-fold:

  1. To support educators in the quest to improve their education and practice (i.e., degree attainment and/or increased skill development) and…
  2. To support providers (programs) in attaining and maintaining accreditation and upward movement in the Massachusetts Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS). To do this, support will be provided in three ways (based on your need):
Program Planning & Support Coaching and Mentoring Services Competency Development
For Educators: We will support you in developing in individualized plan for professional development. The training and coursework you take will then be purposeful and connect you on a pathway to realize your goals.

For Providers (Programs): We will support you in developing and implementing a strategy to increase your program’s quality through attaining and maintaining accreditation and upward movement in the QRIS system.

Leadership Development training for program directors and leaders which will lead to better supervision skills and support of frontline staff.

Training on how to implement the Individual Professional Development Planning (IPDP) as a tool to develop your staff and direct them into the appropriate educational pathway including: CDA, support in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) or Adult Basic Education, matriculation into an Associate or Bachelor Degree program.

Support programs in their quest for QRIS Level 1-4 and NAEYC, NAFCC, and COA accreditation.

Skill Development: We will provide training, but give you the modeling and support necessary to implement what you can learn and document the changes made.

Career Development: We will provide coursework and professional development support that will lead to the attainment of a degree, certificate, or credential for educators and, for providers, accreditation and upward movement on QRIS.
